Psychological Testing

Psychological Testing

Psychological testing evaluates the intellectual, emotional, behavioral, and personality functioning of individuals. Typically physicians, therapists or schools want full evaluations completed to help them guide their treatment and future planning for an individual. Full evaluations help to determine appropriate diagnosis when the symptoms may overlap between different disorders. For instance, depression and ADHD can appear to be very similar in that they both produce attention symptoms, but the treatments are very different. There are several types of evaluations I complete which include:

  • Full psychological evaluations which includes evaluation of intellectual, emotional, behavioral and personality functioning
  • Psychoeducational evaluations which includes academic and cognitive focused testing
  • Immigration evaluations which assesses hardships
  • Bariatric evaluations which determines readiness for surgery

Evaluations may be covered by insurance, but if insurance does not cover testing, cost $2200 and include the intake (60 minutes), face-to-face testing, scoring, interpretation of testing results, writing of the report, and the feedback session. These fees are subject to change and will always be discussed with the individual prior to any changes. Smaller evaluations including bariatric evaluations, and immigration evaluations cost $200 per hour.
